Big Weekend for UT Football

For casual fans who don't function under the obsession that is Tennessee football, this weekend is big for the Vol program. The coaching staff is conducting an overnight camp with over 200 recruits in town. One of the recruits, Channing Fugate from Jackson, Kentucky, has already committed to play for the Vols.

The "big fish" this weekend is Jesse Scroggins, a 6'3", 195 lbs. QB from Lakewood, California. Scroggins flew into Knoxville late last night after camping at Florida. How big would a commitment from Scroggins be? Take a look at The Rock on campus.

Yeah, that might not be hyperbole. From the very beginning, I thought Scroggins was the best QB available in the Class of 2010, over the likes of Jake Heaps, Phillip Sims, and Barry Brunetti. Given a thin QB class this year, Coach Kiffin needs this commitment.
