Classic remark overheard at the mall
Saturday has been spent at West Town Mall in Knoxville in an attempt to purchase a dress for my wife for a wedding we are to attend tonight. While in the Dillard's dress department, one particular female shopper ruled out one dress for her bridesmaids with the following remark in a heavy Southern drawl:
"Naw, we can't use that one. It won't cover Suzie's tattoo."
Even in the hell that is a day at the mall, I had to smile at that one remark and wonder how many times those very words had been uttered in Appalachia.
