Bredesen having selective amnesia?
The lead story in today's Tennessean is yet another sign that Phil Bredesen is in trouble. While the headline says that Bredesen is hedging over his connections - and actions - resulting from contacts with the indicted John Ford, it's a bit more than that. Bredesen is caught in a lie, and he is either lying now or he was lying in May.
Bill Hobbs and Doug Petch jumped on this story this morning. If this story has legs and a proper investigation is commenced, Ford might be that man who drags Bredesen to his political death.
UPDATE: Matt White also has plenty to say about Bredesen's lies, urging media outlets to keep digging. I agree.
